Our Story

We are proud to present "The House of Hope". An initiative brought to you by Westwind Industries in collaboration with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Our initiative involves the construction and sale of a home at CottageClub Ghost Lake, Alberta. 100% of the profits will be benefiting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, all in support of Breast Cancer Research.

My name is Shelby Kilpatrick and my husband's name is Don. We have 2 beautiful children, a 6 year old daughter named Kendyl and a 2 year old son named Fisher. We have been in the construction industry since 1993 and have been building custom homes since 2001. My husband, Don is the owner and operator of Westwind Industries. We have lived and worked in the Cochrane and area community for 13 years and are thrilled to partner up with such an amazing charitable organization.

This initiative is in honor of my mother, Karen Stadnyk (Rice). My mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2007 and died October 16, 2009 at the age of 56. She was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba and raised in the border town, Creighton Saskatchewan. She resided in Creighton for her entire life and proudly worked for The Town of Creighton. Her passions included baseball, curling, taking long walks, reading and drinking Coca Cola. She has 2 children and 3 grand children. My sister Stacey Alban is married to Jeff Alban and has a beautiful son named Jagger. They currently reside in Grand Cayman. My mom was blessed to have 6 siblings and countless nieces and nephews.
